WJHS will be having our annual Decision Day for our current seniors on May 14th. We want to celebrate our seniors and their plans for after high school, whether that be trade or technical school, military, college, or going into the workforce. In the past, we have had many generous parents and community members that have made donations of gifts such as dorm decorations, gift cards, electronics, or anything else you might think would be helpful to a young adult starting out in life. If you could complete this survey and let us know if you would be willing to contribute anything, we would greatly appreciate it! Last year, we had over $1,000 worth of donations from parents alone, and this helped make the drawings for prizes extra special! We will gladly give your business a shoutout as well if you would like. Please bring any donations to the front office or the guidance office at WJHS before May 10th! *note: this is not the same event as project grad Please contact Mrs. Schuerman (heather.schuerman@jessamine.kyschools.us) if you have any questions! https://forms.gle/AaDn8a9GHdwgGPFP7

WJHS student Aidan Mitchell attended the Youth Ambassador Leadership Conference for a second time this year, hosted by the office of Andy Barr. The program is "a non-partisan, educational experience designed for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors who attend schools or reside within Kentucky’s Sixth Congressional District. This conference provides a unique opportunity for students to hear directly from Kentucky leaders, while also serving as an ambassador to their school." We look forward to hearing what leaders from around the Commonwealth had to say!
