Students met with the Youth Career & Talent Specialist, Mrs. Morris, today from the Kentucky Career Center. The "Putting Young Kentuckians to Work" initiative, part of the KCC, aims to equip individuals aged 16-24 with skills and opportunities for high-demand jobs, focusing on work readiness, sector training, pathways to employment, and employment support. It is so rewarding to see our student commit to their next steps! #coltpride #nextsteps

Pinwheels for Prevention is spreading across Kentucky! Nicholasville community reps planted their pinwheels this morning at the courthouse. These blue and silver symbols represent our commitment to educating communities about child abuse and neglect prevention. Let's work together to ensure all children have the positive childhoods they deserve.
Students are using their artistic talents to raise awareness about child abuse for the Kentucky Child Abuse Art Contest. This year's theme: 💙Hope, Strength, and Resiliency! Never a dull day at West High! We started with an 8:30 burst pipe, that lead to some serious flooding in the back lobby.
Fortunately, when crisis occurs, everyone jumps in! Thank you to our custodial and district maintenance crews who took care of the standing water by 9:30!
The valve has been shut off and doesn't impact the main building water supply. Back to business!
