We love our kids and for the past six years, we have shared our love through words with our students through this annual tradition. All of our 1146 students received a personalized letter from someone at East High. You all mean so much to us and there is no amount of words we could share to show the impact you have on our lives. Here are our choir's results from Disney: BEST IN CLASS and SILVER MICKEY FOR OVERALL - 2nd place out of 12 choirs!!! Incredibly proud of these students and Mrs. Sherwood!

Even when our choir is not here, their voices ring throughout the state! Here they are singing the National Anthem at the Girls' Basketball Sweet 16! They've also shared this year at the KHSAA Indoor Track & Field State Championships. If you listen closely, you might be able to hear their voices all the way from Orlando!

Today, we recognized Ms. Albertson as our Rookie of the Year. Her dedication to her students and embodiment of Jaguar values make her an invaluable part of our community. As a social studies teacher, Ms. Albertson brings history to life in her classroom, fostering critical thinking skills and a deep appreciation for the past. Congratulations, Ms. Albertson! On Tuesday, March 12th, ALL Juniors are required by the Kentucky Department of Education to take the ACT. We also have sophomores Who registered to take the ACT on this day. These students need to report to school at the regularly scheduled time.
Testing will finish after 12:30pm. Any student who drives must have a signed permission slip to leave after testing.
We will distribute permission slips during advisory time on Thursday. Students who do not sign out after testing will have a study hall for the remainder of the day. The AM and PM buses will run on their normal schedules. Students who are not taking the ACT (all 9th and 12th students and any 10th grader who did not sign up for the ACT) will have a digital learning day.
A digital learning day is similar to an NTI
Day. Students will not report to school on this day but will work from home.
Students will complete a digital learning assignment for their classes that will be similar to what a student does on an NTI
Day. Non-testing students who do not complete the digital learning day work will have an unexcused absence for that day.
