🚍🔧 Shoutout to our incredible school bus mechanics! 🔧🚍
Behind every safe and smooth ride to school is a team of hardworking professionals who keep our buses running like clockwork. Thank you, Bryan, Sam, Tyler and Dakota,
for your expertise, dedication, and commitment to ensuring our students get to and from school safely every day. We couldn't do it without you!

🎄🎁 Merry Christmas from Jessamine County Schools! 🎁🎄
May your day be filled with joy, love, and the warmth of family and friends.

🎄🎅 Holiday magic brings everyone together! While their schools may compete on the field and court, WJHS and EJHS leaders show us that there's always room for kindness, connection, and community. May the shared spirit of unity shine bright this Christmas Eve and all throughout the year! #BetterTogether #WeAreJessamine

Congratulations to our first ever" Show Up to Shine" attendance incentive drawing winners!
A big high five to students, Scarlett (RDES) who won $250 courtesy of Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home and Alayna (EJHS) who won a family meal each month for a year from Zaxby's! Kudos also to staff members Eric, (WJHS), winning $500 from Shawn Murphy/SGM Homes, Kathy (BES) who gets a Zaxby's family meal each month and Brianna (RDES) who scored a $50 Gumbo Ya Ya gift certificate!
A huge thank you to our sponsors for making this program possible-we couldn't do it without you! And thanks to our winners for making attendance a priority and setting a great example.
Terrific News! We'll have more drawings for the 3rd nine week period that starts after break so look for info on how you can win!
Let's keep showing up, staying involved, and making every moment matter.

Big congrats to JCS wrestlers for showcasing their grit and determination on the mat and placing at the 6th Region JV Regional at Great Crossings! 💪
We’re so proud of your accomplishments!

From our family to yours, have a safe and amazing Winter Break! We're excited to kick off 2025 with our students on Tuesday, January 7th!

JCS is full of festive fun and we love seeing our students' excitement as they celebrate, learn, and grow together during this special time of year. From creative activities and holiday shows to giving back through food drives and acts of kindness, there's so much joy in the air!

JCTC Foundations of Law and Public Safety students paid tribute by placing wreaths at Camp Nelson National Monument. This meaningful act honors the sacrifices of the past, connects us in gratitude this season, and inspires hope for a future of service and unity. #JCSRespect

JCS art and music enrichment students spent time with Cedarhurst residents, collaborating on art projects and sharing the gift of music with a holiday concert. We're proud of these Connected Citizens who know that the true magic of Christmas is in the joy we share with others.❤️

Together, we're making a difference! ❤️
We're thrilled to share that KCAL's Gospel Showcase benefit has raised $10,700 to support homeless students in our community—and contributions are still being accepted!
This incredible success would not have been possible without the hard work of the dedicated organizers at KCAL, the generosity of the performers, and the support of all who contributed. Your kindness ensures that every student has the opportunity to succeed, no matter their circumstances.
Want to help? Donations are still welcome! To contribute, please contact Doug Fain at hdouglasfain@gmail.com
THANK YOU for making a lasting impact!

WJHS Honor Society students are wrapping veterans in warmth and gratitude this holiday season! 🎄These Connected Citizens have been hard at work creating blankets to donate to Thomson-Hood Veterans Center, spreading joy and showing appreciation for those who have served. 🇺🇸 Their spirit of giving warms our hearts! ❤️

What a cool experience for the EJHS Chorale! They visited FOX 56 to record a segment and got a behind-the-scenes look at TV station operations. You can catch their feature when it airs on Dec 24th at 11 pm and on Christmas Day between 5-6 & 9-10 am and 7-8 pm. We can't wait!💚💙

Love Lacrosse? We've got you! EJHS is hosting a lacrosse clinic to introduce this exciting sport and gauge student interest in starting a program! The free clinic is open to all JCS students and no experience or equipment is needed to attend. Whether you’re curious about the game or already a fan, it's a great chance to give it a try and learn the basics with us! #TrySomethingNew #JCSPassion&Purpose

Knowledge unlocks potential and education can be truly life-saving. Teaching students essential skills, like this CPR class at EJMS, empowers them to act quickly and confidently in emergencies. Equipping the next generation to be heroes when it matters most! 💪#LifesavingSkills

Amazing job! Congrats to our Girls on the Run students and coaches on completing their 5K at Keeneland! Events like this build confidence, resilience, and lifelong healthy habits. JCS is proud to support opportunities that help students thrive on and off the track!

John Daugherty is a proud 1967 graduate of Jessamine County High School and former JCS educator who dedicated an incredible 34 years to teaching in our schools. Since his retirement in 2006, Mr. D's passion for education and service has continued as he serves as a volunteer in the WJHS office. Join us in thanking John for the love and time that he continues to pour back into the community that helped to shape him. Stories like his are a testament to the everlasting positive impact of our JCS Family and the lifelong bonds that connect us all. ❤️ #OnceATeacherAlwaysATeacher #WeAreJessamine

Join Santa to start your Saturday with pancakes and wrap it up with hot cocoa after the St. Nich parade this weekend. And be sure to check out the amazing trees on the Christmas Tree Trail, including the Jessamine County Ed Foundation's Bingo Tree!
